Welcome to Boy Scouting and to Troop 467!
We’re glad you have decided to become part of our troop, and we look
forward to having your son experience new challenges and adventures
with us. We are a troop that believes in teaching outdoor skills, life
skills and leadership in a supportive and enriching environment.
As a Scout led troop, we encourage our Scouts to organize and take part
in numerous outdoor adventures. Each month we embark on a camping and/or
backpacking trip, and we organize annual summer camps and high adventure
activities. By employing the patrol method, we establish a culture where
Scouts learn how to plan, prioritize, delegate and lead.
Scouting offers boys a place to learn life skills while taking part
in outdoor programs and projects that will challenge and inspire them.
Participation is key. Though our boys
are busy with school, sports and other extracurricular activities, it
is important for them to take part in meetings and campouts in order
to more fully develop the skills required to advance and succeed as
a Scout.
Please take time to tour this website and learn more about our program.
In the Info for Parents section, you’ll
find what you need to get your Scout off to a great start. The
Calendar will help
you plan your schedule for the year, and the FAQ
will answer many of your questions. Be sure to check
troop467.com regularly for updates.
We meet most Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Scout hut
located behind Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Scouts must bring
their Scout handbook and arrive promptly dressed in full "Class A" uniform
for each meeting ready for an evening of learning and fun activities.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
I look forward to talking with you!
Yours in Scouting,
Val Carolin
