| Court of Honor |
| Scouts receive merit badges and rank advancements at
a Court of Honor. This is an award ceremony that takes place three times
during the Scouting year. The Scoutmaster presents awards and recognizes
advancements for each Scout before an audience of friends and family.
Scouts are then congratulated individually by all the troop leaders.
This is also a forum for Scouts, troop leaders and parents to make important
announcements and share news about Scouting activities. The advancement chair of the troop committee will send parents a list of Scouts he expects to receive an award. Please check this list with your Scout to make sure that it is correct. Parents bring a covered dish for a potluck dinner. You will receive an email explaining which food and what quantity you need to bring. This is a very important evening for your Scout; Moms and Dads and other family members are encouraged to attend so you can celebrate your Scout’s achievements. It is also a great opportunity for families to get to know one another. See the calendar for Court of Honor dates. ![]() |
